The backstory...
It all started a few months ago on my last trip home. I spotted them outside a little boutique and they were so bright and cheerful. We used to make them all the time as kids and the thought of wearing one again made me kind of nostalgic.
I saw them again when Meagan and I were out window shopping. Only these were more sophisticated than the bracelets I remember making... they were intertwined with sparkly rhinestones and dainty gold chains.
And I wanted one even more after seeing them on the fashionable wrist of my favorite personal style blogger. After a little research, I found a great DIY tutorial...
Long story short, these colorful handwoven bracelets have slowly made their way back to me. And now I want to make more! Time for a crafty project =) Have a good week everyone!
Oh I knew it was an Honestly WTF DIY! I found a whole pile of embroidery thread at home (ka ching!) and now I just need the time (and patience!) to start making friendship bracelets!
ReplyDeleteAnd will you show us your new bracelet soon? ;)
Omg the minute I saw this post in my blog roll I IMMEDIATELY thought of our window shopping expedition and how we saw those. I can't believe she got it for you as a coincidence. So funny how life works. Beautiful work Joanna and the shoe drawing you gifted was just gorgeous.

ReplyDeletethis is very easy and affordable way to make the printed friendship bands , using the colorful threads only. This type of self made friendship bands are liked very much by the teenagers.
